
Brian Tringali, Partner
Brian Tringali is a partner with The Tarrance Group, one of the most respected and successful Republican survey research and strategy teams in America today. He also serves as the firm’s Secretary and Treasurer.
Tringali has been a senior advisor to many successful statewide and congressional Republican campaigns throughout the country. During the last presidential election (2004), he conducted tracking in key states in the Midwest including Ohio, Minnesota, Michigan and Ohio. During the last election cycle (2006), Tringali continued to focus on statewide races, including the successful re-election of Governor Linda Lingle in Hawaii. Lingle won with 61.7% of the vote in a state not known for electing Republicans.
Tringali has also been involved in conducting research for corporations, particularly those involved in short-term, crisis management problems. He has worked successfully with the mining, timber, tobacco, gaming, drug and telecommunications industries, as well as sports and racing teams. His corporate clients rely on him primarily for message testing, corporate reputation management and stakeholder strategies. He has also done a considerable amount of work for companies facing large lawsuit issues.
Tringali is currently an adjunct professor for George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management. Tringali teaches quantitative and qualitative methods to those getting advanced degrees in politics. He also teaches in a number of regional leadership programs and remains a guest lecturer in several political science programs in the Washington, D.C. area and around the country.
Prior to joining the Tarrance team in 1988, Tringali was the Director of the Research Division at the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). He has worked in numerous U.S. Senate and House races, as well as for the House Science and Technology Committee and a Member of Congress.
Tringali and his wife reside in the Mount Vernon area of Virginia. They have two children.
