Katie Handel, Senior Research Analyst

Katie Handel is a senior research analyst for The Tarrance Group Inc., one of the most respected political research and strategy firms in the country. Handel joined the political consultation team in January of 2006.

Prior to joining The Tarrance Group, Handel was an account manager for Pac/West Communications, a public relations and government affairs firm in Oregon. She was responsible for managing client projects such as polling, message development, and strategic plan implementation. Handel provided day to day management of several national grassroots campaign efforts that were successful in dictating the debate around the passage of federal legislation through disciplined use of research based messaging. A veteran of Oregon’s legislative process, she has experience working with a variety of industries including health care, natural resources and education providing services such as coalition coordination, policy research and strategic campaign development.
