Shannon Stillings is the Director of Research Operations at The Tarrance Group. Since joining The Tarrance Group in February 2014, she has quickly become involved in all aspects of research and production while working alongside the partners and vice presidents to provide clients with the exceptional polling and analysis for which The Tarrance Group is known. She is responsible for the coordination of research operations between the firm’s research analysts, project directors and production staff. Shannon is also a certified moderator, after completing an intensive training course in the theory and practice of focus group moderating.
Shannon comes to The Tarrance Group from a long career as a volunteer in support of several military organizations. Most recently as the Command Team and Family Readiness Advisor for the Officer Candidates School in Quantico, Virginia. She has also trained and served as an advanced caseworker for the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, and on the board and executive boards of several Officer Spouses’ Clubs. In support of her husband’s career in the United States Marine Corps she quickly became an expert in logistical operations while moving her family 15+ times to include a tour in Hawaii and in Europe. Shannon has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Iowa in Liberal Arts.
She and her husband, have raised two daughters and now currently live in a historic home (circa 1870) in Old Town Alexandria, keeping them very busy with a never ending supply of home repair projects.
